What does fatherhood mean to you?
To me, fatherhood means having the ability to be a good dad. Anyone can be a father, but only those who take the time can be a good dad.
What is the best part of being a dad?
The best part? That’s tough. Every day brings something new. So far I would have to say the look in my daughter's eyes every time I pick her up from her mom’s house.
What is your proudest moment as a dad?
Right now my daughter is only three. I’m proud every time we make it to the potty.
It is also cool to see that she is as crazy about cars as I am.
What do you and your child do for fun?
We love going to the park and the aquarium. She loves the fishies.
What is the hardest part about being a dad?
Juggling time with my daughter, work and whatever free time is left. Sometimes it can be exhausting.
What kind of dad do you strive to be?
I want to be the best dad I can be. I would like my little girl to look back at her childhood and say, “My dad gave me the best he could”.
Describe your funniest moment as a dad.
So far it would have to be when we go to work on my car. My daughter crawls underneath the garage door before I even have a chance to get it up all the way. She rushes over and hugs the rear bumper of the car saying, “I’ve missed my Mustang”.
What would you hope that your kids would say about you if asked what kind of a dad they have?
I hope my daughter would say that she has the best dad.
What is the most important piece of advice you’ve received about fatherhood?
To always have a sense of humor.
What would you consider to be your most inspiring moment as a dad?
When my father told me that he was proud of me for going after custody of my daughter.
